Sorry - this description is not very accurate.

About 4 years ago when Samuel was first diagnosed someone posted on hemihelp with a link to a sort of hand strengthening machine.

It looked really good, but Samuel was only a baby and too young for it. In my memory, it may have only been for big hands/adults. I think it was specifically for people who had suffered from a stroke.

Anyway - I am just wondering if anyone remembers this thing - or if anyone is better than me at searching in the search engine here.

It was not really a machine, because it didn't have an engine or batteries etc - it was just lots of metal pieces all linked together that provided resistance to the hand and exercised it.
