Hello!
Basically, I'm getting severe pain in my wrist/palm of my hand. I had it fused in June, and had no pain up to now. As a consequence of the surgery I'm on the waiting list for tendon lengthening surgery in my fingers. They are extremely tight. I had botox in August in my fingers to loosen them up whilst i'm waiting for surgery. However the past few days I have been getting such bad pain along my wrist, also in the centre of my palm. It's sort of like a very deep ache. My palm feels tight is the way i'd describe it and my fingers are also hurting but not as much. I'm really confused and worried what the cause could be? Could it be an infection? Or could the tightness in my fingers be responsible (botox must nearly be gone?) Or the cold weather? I haven't banged my wrist or anything so it seems strange that it's come on all of a sudden! I worry because I have reduced pain sensation on my left side anyway, so I think something must be wrong to feel severe pain... I don't see my consultant until next Friday. Don't really know what to do!
Xx
