My little boy is 4 in september and is starting Nursery, he is joining the nursery attached to the infant school.

I was just looking at their website and photo's of the school and suddenly thought, oh sh*t, he will have to contend with all of this soon

And the changing environment then every couple of years a change or school, teachers and rules!!! This is difficult enough for a "normal" child never mind a child with "difficulties". He is such a happy little boy and i am so worried about losing that (this has happened before)

I think if i am honest i look at these photos and remember my unhappy years at school and pray to god (even though i a not religious) that he will not have to suffer that!

My little boy is getting to the scary parts of life and i just want to save him from any heartache!! I want him to succeed in life and know he will just want to save him the hard bits!!

I am going to shush now cos i am being stupid and blathering on!!

Sorry to blather on here AGAIN.

lol

Hi Tess,
You are not freaking out - just worrying about your little boy - that's normal !!!

I was exactly the same when Sam started school 5 years ago and I'm going through it again now as he moves to middle school in just over a week .. Arrggghh !!

He has LOVED the last 5 years at first school - he has always been really happy and he made loads of friends and was hardly ever asked about his hemi ( left arm & leg) - the children knew that was how he was and that was normal for them .. to be honest they probably tried to help him too much !!!! I cried buckets at his leaving assembly but he is happy about moving schools, it does help that all his friends are moving up to the same school.

You will worry - I'm having a few days off work when Sam starts school as not sure how I'll cope !! But our boys will do us proud and make us wonder what we were worrying about :)
